Seriously, Wells Fargo Dealer Services How Do You Stay In Business?
I bought my son a vehicle when he turned 17 and financed a small portion through Wells Fargo Dealer Services. I wanted to pay the loan off early as we had decided to get a vehicle with better gas mileage.
They make it virtually impossible to accomplish something that should be simple! They will not allow a bank draft for more than $5000, so they defer you to Western Union or Moneygram, neither of which allows you to send a payment that large not to mention the cost! I had to send a payment three days in a row for the maximum amount allowed each day to get to balance below $5000, then using the payoff amount supplied by Wells Fargo Dealer Services I made the final payment, so I thought! When the dealer who purchased the car called because they had not received the title I found out that out of no where an additional fee of $48 appeared.
No one at customer service could explain and to be honest could have cared less. I made the final payment once again and ask what the fastest way to get the lien release was, the person I spoke with refused to offer any information. When I pushed her as the funds had already be deducted from my account she reluctantly said I could fax in my running bank statement showing the funds had cleared. She was almost indignant about it and told me it was a waste of time as it would only save 3 days.
I will fax the running bank statement tomorrow morning and will bet they do nothing with it. I will update this post in a few days.
