New ReviewerI traded in my Wells Fargo Dealer Services financed vehicle for a new vehicle financed with a lower rate through a different bank. The day I bought my new car, I cancelled the extended warranty on the old vehicle with the anticipation of receiving a refund of almost $1500.
The payment from the dealership and the refund for the cancelled warranty were both posted to my Wells Fargo Dealer Services account before the last day of the month. I was told that I would receive a refund in 7 to 10 days which was irksome, but Wells Fargo has a long track record of unethical business practices. Now, it has been fifteen days and although I received a letter notifying me that the account was paid in full, I have yet to receive the refunded amount. Wells Fargo claims to have changed their business practices because of the ethics violations and shady business practices that were uncovered over the past few years.
However, they have a long way to go it seems. I will be notifying the Texas Attorney General as well as calling WFDS customer support tomorrow to complain.
There are many, many companies who offer car financing. Avoid WFDS, they are not recommended.
