Interesting. Anyway update since I was angry when I wrote this and it doesn't make a lot of sense.
I was out of work for 10 months prior to missing the payments at the end of 2012. It was not a choice and its sad that people automatically, people like Wells Fargo Dealer Services, assume that you are a deadbeat. I had a great job till the economy caught up with my family.
Subsequently I got back into consulting and found a great client who paid for me to handle their overseas operation - in other words I don't have the money to travel overseas, I was sent by a company that footed the bill.
As far as the deadbeat dad comment - uncalled for. To assume that people are divorced, and doesn't make payments because they were down on their luck for a while seems extreme. Besides I am sure the comment was made by a person who would pay their car note before feeding their children - isn't that the natural order of things?
Anyway both the Attorney General and FTC took the complaint seriously. Wells Fargo has been contacted and I got a call from their executive offices to resolve the issues. Subsequently since my client paid me I am caught up on my car payment and will find a different place to move my loan to. People here might think this is a *** complaint but it is a harassment of consumers and a Nazi like wielding of power that has caused this country to be trillions of dollars in debt.
Hopefully the angry commentators on this posting never lose a job, get behind on payments, or have to be one of the 600 plus people who have been treated atrociously by the people at this company.
I have a car loan through Wells Fargo Dealer Services. For the last several months I went through a period of struggles and was not able to make the note on time. I got about 60 days behind in November so they sent someone out to repossess the vehicle. I was not home at the time and a phone call to them got me the balance due. I paid two months payments. I then made the payment in December just fine. In January I was travelling and did not make the payment. The payment is due on the 24th of each month. By February 5th they started calling 3 - 4 times per day. Since I was travelling I did not respond and by the 10th they had escalated to calling my family, friends, and extended family - anyone they could get hold of. Today a former employee called and told me that "Glenda" from Wells Fargo Dealer Services called about my car loan. Today was also the first day that Glenda left me a voice mail. I called her back immediately and let her know I would make the payment by the 24th.
She informed me that payments for both January and February were due immediately and I better make arrangements to pay tonight. I asked her if I was 30 days past due. She said "That's not the point". Again what the due date was for the payment, she said "The 24th but that is not the point, you are going to make both payments tonight". I informed her that I would pay by the 24th to which she responded that that was not good enough, I would (emphasis) pay right now.
She then asked why I was late - I informed her that I was out of the country and she replied "thats not my problem", She then proceeded to get very abrasive and snarled at me that I would make the payment right now or else she would call the loan and it would go up for further review.
By this time I was angry and informed her that under the consumer protection act 30 days had not passed and her actions of calling my friends and family amounted to harassment to which she replied "I can call whoever I want". Again I repeated that I would pay by the 24th - again she informed that she was not willing to accept that and I would pay now.
She said "You have money, you shouldn't be in collections" - to which I again reminded her that I was not even 30 days past due. She stated repeatedly that that had no relevance and that unless I made a payment this second she was going to refer the account for "further review" - and that she would get the loan called.
I have no problem paying this immediately and making a second payment between now and the 24th, as a consultant I often have to wait for a client to pay and they are slightly slow this month. The aggressive, vicious and malicious tone taken by Wells Fargo Dealer Services to "collect" on something that isn't even 30 days past due - the calling of friends and family on something that again, is not even 30 days late is excessive and consumers have to have some kind of protection against this kind of threatening, vicious behavior.
At the end of the conversation, I confess to getting very angry and calling "Glenda" several obscene names after she haggled and pushed every button in my being. I am a very patient person but this harassment has got to be addressed.
Shortly there after โTimโ or โTomโ claiming to be a supervisor called back and repeated the threats, telling me to โgo ahead and waste my time and money complaining to the attorney general, since that has nothing to do with me paying my bill โ right nowโ. He later said I had till the 24th to pay it or he would send out his repo crews. Tim, Tom, or whatever his name is got increasingly angry and eventually slammed the phone down on me. What a shame and a black mark on Wells Fargo.

My husband lost his job and we were two months behind in payments. He got an even better job and within the first two paychecks I made both the late payments as well as the payment due, before the due date came.
They have cashed the checks and my next payment isn't due until the 24th of this month. Yet, they came and took the truck yesterday. No notice that they were going to. In fact, I don't even have the statement yet for this month's payment in the mail.
My husband had talked to them about the job situation and they said they "would work with him". We caught the payments up and even though they have all the monies owed, they still repossessed the truck after receiving their money. The person who came to get the truck had no paperwork for me at all. I feel like I just handed my truck and keys to a thief.
It hasn't been 24 hours yet since the repo man was here, so Wells Fargo Dealer Services told my husband they won't talk to him about it until 24 hours has passed.
WHAT????????? What the heck just happened here??????????????
It is astounding how friendly, assuring, and bright everyone is when they push you to get a car. Then they turn into mob bosses the as soon as you financially flinch.
If you decide not to buy a car, they whine & insult you like you are a fool for passing up such an obvious opportunity.
I used to think after high school the world naturally grew up for the most part. All I actually see is larger children still pushing decent people around out of an addiction to feel powerful.

This happened 2 me2
Wells Fargo repo'd my sister's vehicle with just 2 months left on the note. This company is crooked and I would not use them.
These guys at Wells Fargo are the absolute most pathetic group of people ever. As soon as they get on the phone with you they take on the most patronizing tome and relish putting you down and speaking to you like a piece of ***.
I don't understand how they recruit such disgusting people. It's as though they are encouraged to let out their own anger on consumers and you can tell they enjoy seeing others suffer. Thy have a mightier than thou attitude and it is ugly.
If they've made the decision to repo your car it's as though they relish beating you down and get a charge out of sticking to their guns - being non negotiable. Absolute worst !
I came from Kentucky to care for my brother who got spinal menengitis. While he was in the hospital a Wells Fargo employee called my brothers phone in which his fiancรฉ answered.
After explaining to the employee that my brother is in ICU she asked if the phone could be held up to his ear. Menengitis has caused hearing loss which was explained. After rude remarks she hung up. My brothers fiancรฉ paid his payment in cash and it was not even 30 days late, yet 3 days after payment was made, it was repossessed in the middle of the night.
I am taking real estate classes and my book to study is in that vehicle. Not only did Wells Fargo steal my brothers truck, they stole my book.
I am leaving to go back to Kentucky and don't know how to get my book back, let alone my brothers truck. How is this legal for them to do this???
I too had several unpleasant experiences with WFDS... A woman by the name or Maryanne is very rude and hostile.
I got layed off last october and got 1 month behind on my payments. Not only did she lie to me by saying she would be able to defer my payment but she harrassed and taunted me making several degrading comments like " i cant believe you people cant pay your freaking bills on time," I am very disgusted with Wells Fargo Dealer Services and even considered defaulting and letting my care get repo'd so i will not have to deal with them any longer even though im completely caught up now.Customer service has seriously gone down hill.
I was upset and crying over our situation. It was wells Fargo dealer services at fault.
Stephanie at president office was making rude remarks just the same. I was cussed at , lied to , talked to and treated like a dog.
Is my vehicle up for repo if I'm 3 months or more late
I too have had a very similar experience with WFDS, I never had a problem with them before March of 2013 but finally after months of not having a job my wife and I drained our savings and began trying to make arrangements to pay our bills. My wife had called WFDS to try and make some arrangement with them before our account went into a past due status because we knew we weren't going to have the money to make our car payment on time, and my wife was due to have our baby at anytime.
This then led to them shutting off our online access so we couldn't make a payment on our account and then a constant barrage of phone calls began. We just learned today that they have been calling our friends and family "of which we have no idea how they got their numbers because we didn't give them to wfds" I have never in my life dealt with such a rude, unethical, company in regards to their collection practices. We've tried since March to satisfy our loan but unless we pay the past-due amount for March, April, and May "$1900.00" there isn't anything they can supposedly do, if we had $1900.00 to pay them right now we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.
And now they are threatening legal action against us supposedly and to come repo our car? I would like to know how or where you went to file a complain with the attorney general and FTC so I could do the same.
I would file a complaint with your State Attorney Generals office - and also with the Federal Trade Commission. It will amuse you no end how fast they will become a whole lot nicer when they are dealing with someone who isn't just a consumer. The AG of Washington took the matter above seriously and issued two letters to WFDS - which resulted in unspecified "disciplinary actions" against the employees and an apology.
Live, there was too mention in the complaint that he had been out of the country. In my opinion that is the same thing as traveling out of the country.
Pay up and shut up crybaby DEADBEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry
Shut up Bank slave :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin :grin

That's why you're anonymous dip ***! You are a heartless SOB who evidently works for Wells Fargo Bank!
You cannot understand that Real People have unfortunate things happen in life through no fault of their own!!!!!
Funny - there was no mention of "Travelling out of the country", but you knew this information, meaning you work for them. Nice try !
